Hello! My name is Agatha and I am a factory certified Austin Healey 100-M. I was born on September 6, 1955 and ended up unceremoniously in a junkyard in Miami, Florida after my human totaled me. I was rescued by my mistress’s husband, Doug, almost twenty years ago and they took me everyplace they lived finally ending up in New Mexico. I was never in one piece and barely recognizable as an Austin Healey but my new mistress and her husband were kind to me. She just never had enough money to have me restored until 2003 when I was taken to Albuquerque, NM to begin my new life.

My body was restored and painted to my original color, I was assembled with my engine, electrical system, brakes, interior, etc. and put back to my original condition. After many months I came home with my mistress behind the wheel and was given a place of honor in their garage. I had my first Re-birthday Party in October of 2003 and my humans invited a lot of other British cousins and their humans to join me in my celebration. Since that time my mistress and I have enjoyed great adventures and she always finds an excuse to drive me. I am a car that is meant to be driven and I am going to have many, many adventures. When the Super Nationals is over and we get home, I will have lots to write in my journal.

Oh, please excuse my ‘tooting my own horn,’ but I have to tell you that I was on the cover of the March Austin Healey magazine and my mistress wrote about what I meant to her. I was also a feature article in the Mature Monthly magazine of the Albuquerque Journal, most recently my journal entry for my 2nd Rebirthday Party was published in the Healey Marque Magazine and the Austin Healey Club of America made me their May ‘pin-up’ in their 2005 calendar. It is believed that I am the oldest surviving 100-M in the world as the first 100-M has not been seen nor heard from. I know for sure I am special to my mistress and that my new life will be better than the old one.
