Father’s Day 2012

Actually the Sat. before FD. The event was the 21st (or so) annual Ultra-light Fly-In at the Footlight Ranch near Dillsburg, PA. There is an opening ceremony that includes a parade of vintage cars, the local American Legion Motorcycle club, and a Boy Scout color guard. The Central Triumph Club asked BRRTA to participate in order to add some variety, and we attended with our SP, plus an E-Type, AH, 3 0r 4 MG’s and a Morgan.
The collection of planes was eye opening; I never knew you could power a tiny frame with a 2-cycle engine and use a hand piviting fabric wing to control lift. Saw this and thought of Nial.
